Your Alaska rafting adventure will traverse the eastern boundary of Denali National Park, Alaska for over 40 miles. The whitewater on the Nenana River in Alaska ranges from class II "Mild-water" float trips to class III/IV "Whitewater" action for a variety of Denali rafting adventures. The operator offers both "Paddle Rafts" &"Oar Rafts" in a spectacular Alaska mountain setting.

Your choice of Denali rafting adventure is a personal preference depending on your desire to sit and hold on or paddle in the Alaska whitewater action. You decide "Mild or Wild" and "Paddle or Oar" for a fantastic Denali raft adventure.

Your Alaska whitewater adventure will be guided by one of our experienced staff of professionals. Highly skilled Alaska guides will provide exemplary customer service in commercial quality equipment on your Denali rafting excursion. Canyon Run:  This river trip begins at the entrance to Denali National Park and journeys 11 river miles to Healy, Alaska. During this 2 Hour whitewater adventure expect to encounter over 10 major Class III to IV rapids in the Nenana River Canyon! The Denali National Park frontier will be the setting on your river left shore with Mt. Healy rising over 3,000 feet to the summit. Exciting wave-trains and powerful hydraulics will create rapids like "Razorback," "Iceworm," "Cable Car," "Royal Flush," and “Coffee Grinder!” No experience is required; ages 10 and up are welcome. Choose an Oar Raft and hold on or a Paddle Raft (minimum age is 14) for extra hands-on excitement.

Take the hostel shuttle to the Wilderness Access Center and we will pick you up there.


Scenic Wilderness: Although this trip will begin at McKinley Village in the midst of local lodges, your river raft will drift slowly away and leave only a quiet encounter with Denali’s wilderness. Imagine yourself floating in solitude along the boundaries of Denali National Park, Alaska on this 2 Hour oar raft trip! Enjoy the Alaskan splendor as we view the Yanert Fork River merging with the waters of the Nenana River below the Musher's Monument, a natural rock formation distinctly resembling a musher driving a sled and team of dogs. While passing by Mount Fellows and Pyramid Mountain, watch for a variety of wildlife and enjoy class II and mild class III whitewater rapids. Families with small children and those wanting a bit less splash will discover the joys of rafting.

Nenana Half-Day: This 4 Hour excursion combines the mild Scenic Wilderness stretch and the rapids of the Canyon Run. Enjoy Alaska's scenic beauty and hit over 10 major rapids for a complete morning or afternoon of river running. Oar Raft or Paddle Raft available.

Cancellations: In the regrettable event the tour provider cancels, you will receive a full refund.  They reserve the right to alter trip itineraries due to weather conditions, high water levels and other safety considerations. 48 hour advance notice is required by our guests to receive a full refund for their cancellation. A 50% deposit will be non-refundable with less than 48 hours notice. Additionally, Mountain Morning charges $5 or 5%, whichever is greater, on all cancellations.

Drysuits: Not a wetsuit! We provide every whitewater guest with the comfort and confidence of state-of-the-art river apparel with Kokatat and OS System drysuits! Glacial waters are unforgiving but with the proper outfitting offered by this provider, you can make a splash and have fun in the water. Our prices are competitive but our suits are priceless - we think you are worth it!

You can only reserve a tour after you have reserved a stay with us. We will use the credit card information we have on file. We will send you a confirmation. All tours promoted by Denali Mountain Morning Hostel & Lodge are provided by other companies. The hostel does not accept any liability to anyone regarding what occurs during, before, or after, the tour. We only guarantee the provider will be paid the money charged to your card and have represented the tour operator's offers to the best of our ability, based on the information they have provided us. Prices are subject to change. If the provider raises his price after you have booked your tour, this price will be passed on to you.
