The Safaris are heated jet boat rides into the "bush", where locals share hunting, prospecting, trapping and dog mushing lore on the Nenana River. There is a good chance of getting a great close-up view of some of the “locals”. Alaskan wildlife viewing opportunities are plentiful – our guests have spotted moose, grizzly bear, ptarmigan, eagles, and more! Weather and Temperatures: You should expect temperatures to range from 40 to 80 degrees, with an average of 65-70. You can and will get everything from sun to rain to snow at any given day of the year. Gear: No special gear required. The boats are enclosed and heated for your comfort. Bring your camera! They won't let you miss your bus or train! And they will pick you up at the hostel! Cancellations: In the regrettable event the tour operator cancels, you will receive a full refund. They reserve the right to alter trip itineraries due to weather conditions, high water levels and other safety considerations. 24 hour advance notice is required by our guests to receive a full refund for their cancellation. A 20% deposit will be non-refundable with less than 24 hours notice. In addition, Mountain Morning charges $10 or 10%, whichever is greater on all customer initiated, cancellations.
