We are located at Mile 224.1 of the Parks Highway, at a place and creek called Carlo Creek
We are easy to find as we are right on the Parks Highway, the main (and only) highway that traverses the state north to south and leads you north from Anchorage or south from Fairbanks to Denali National Park.
IF YOU WILL BE ARRIVING BY BUS

Arriving buseswill drop you at the Denali National Park Visitors Center or the Wilderness Access Center (WAC). At the WAC you can make reservations for one of the Park tour buses. At the Visitors Center you can check your luggage, familiarize yourself with the Park goings-on or pick up the free park shuttle to the free 2pm dog sled demonstration. There are also great options for hiking on one of the many entrance area trails. The Morino Grill and park book store are adjacent to the Visitors Center. The Hostel Shuttle will pick you up at 5:30pm at the WAC, near the flag pole.

**If you use this time to make reservations for one of the Park buses, keep in mind that the hostel shuttle will get you to the Park in the morning at 7:00am, not earlier.**

IF YOU WILL BE DRIVING

North from Anchorage, Wasilla or Talkeetna

We are located at Milepost 224.1 of the Parks Highway. You will find us fourteen miles north of the small town of Cantwell. You will eventually see a sign for Carlo Creek Lodge and Campground on your left, and then a sign for the Perch Restaurant on your right. You want to SLOW DOWN as soon as you see the signs as you are almost at the Mountain Morning. You will see a small sign for Carlo Creek and then cross over a small bridge. Our dirt drive is immediately after the bridge on the left. Our office is the first cabin along the dirt drive, easily seen from the highway if you're looking for it. There is an A-frame cafe called McKinley Creekside directly across the highway from us. We are 224 miles north of Anchorage, a 4 to 6 hour drive depending on traffic and road conditions..

South from Fairbanks

We are located at Milepost 224.1 of the Parks Highway. You will find us 13 miles south of the National Park entrance. Travel through "Glitter Gulch," the commercial district just north of the Park entrance, cross the Nenana River twice, and you will surely come to a place called Carlo Creek. You will come to a straight-away and see a set of blue road signs that denote services (pictoral signs). Our little dirt drive is on the right side of the Parks Highway, just past the blue services signs and just before the Carlo Creek bridge. On the left, directly opposite the Mountain Morning Hostel, is an A-frame restaurant called McKinley Creekside. If you cross the bridge and Carlo Creek, you have gone too far. We are on the north edge of Carlo Creek. We are about a two-and-a-half-hour drive (134 miles) south of Fairbanks.
