Bill and Skeeter started operating this hostel in 2006. You may recognize them from Spenard Hostel International in Anchorage. Bill recently sold that hostel to Jen Avery. It remains Anchorage's best. There is direct bus service from Spenard Hostel to Denali Park and our hostel shuttle will take you from the Park to Denali Mountain Morning Hostel for FREE!

Skeeter and I have moved from Anchorage to Carlo Creek several years ago and live here year-round. It's a wonderful place to call home. I'll take my extensive traveling and hostelling experience and continue to make Mountain Morning Hostel a wonderful experience for the die-hard hostellers and those who are hostelling for the first time.

Skeeter mostly just digs making sure the squirrels and hares stay quick on their feet. You may find us on the shuttle bus or at the hostel. Skeeter will probably bark at you to let you know he is there and in charge. Don't worry, this is his hello. We may not be dressed in tuxes, but we look forward to serving and meeting you all. Bill
