Bill and Skeeter just started operating this hostel in 2006. You may recognize them from Spenard Hostel International in Anchorage. Bill still owns the hostel there, Anchorage's best, and you are welcome to visit there as well. There is direct bus service from Spenard Hostel to Denali Park and our hostel shuttle will take you from the Park to Denali Mountain Morning Hostel for a small fee.

Bill and Skeeter have moved from Anchorage to Carlo Creek and live there year round now. It's a wonderful place to call home. I'll take my extensive traveling and hostelling experience and continue to make both hostels a wonderful experience for the die-hard hostellers and those who are hostelling for the first time. Skeeter mostly just digs drinking water from a creek every day and sniffin around. You may find us on the shuttle bus or at the hostel. Skeeter will probably bark at you to let you know he is there and in charge. Don't worry, this is his hello. We both may have some more grizzle in our beards then we do in our pictures, and may not be dressed in Tuxes, but we look forward to serving and meeting you all. Bill Madsen
